Don't Give Me Pity, Just Give Me Respect

Why is being an RA difficult?
It isn't always difficult but it's not easy.
  • You are surrounded by freshmen; you're not a freshman.
  • You get woken up during naps/sleep to go unlock someone's door and the people who locked themselves out don't care about ruining your perfect slumber.
  • Someone puking in the bathroom suddenly is your responsibility.
  • There are people out in the halls who seem to be talking right into the cracks of your door so you can hear them perfectly at all times.
  • Having restroom-related problems from the campus food; using a public restroom every day of the school year.
  • Freshmen think you don't know it when they drinking vodka in their room; you don't have to spill it to be able to smell it out in the hall you ignoramus.
The other night these two girls, while in the bathroom stalls, were discussing who the one girl with mononucleosis should make out with that night in order to get them sick too. But they had a hard time thinking of a guy "she really hates."

I have to constantly play music in order to drown out conversations like those that happen on the daily. Here's an example:
